Equipping Early-Career Talent with a Professional Persona

Each summer, Halton Region hires post-secondary students through its Summer Student Program. The Region identified a need to help students communicate confidently and present themselves professionally.

Since 2024, Wavelength has partnered with Halton to deliver a half-day Build Your Own Brand course, designed to help participants define and articulate their strengths with clarity, consistency, and authenticity.

Through a combination of guided reflection, practical exercises, and small-group discussions, students develop their own Brand Statements and Brand Stories—tools they can immediately apply in workplace interactions. By the end of the session, participants leave with greater confidence and a clearer sense of how to communicate their value. They also leave with a 30-Day Development Plan to continue strengthening their person brand. 

Participants highlighted both the practical value of the session and the supportive learning environment:
